Science is a fundamental and objective activity that is distinguished from other human actions by its rational character. It is the result of scientists exercising its fame with the aim of highlighting a new fact or phenomenon.
Within the scientific community, information is essentially provided through scientific publications. These publications constitute the very objective of scientific research, since a researcher is generally evaluated by his publications. This is why it is customary to say that "scientific publication is the noblest expression for researchers in science".
Nowadays, scientific research and communication are closely linked and complementary. Without research there is nothing to communicate and without communication research does not advance. A scientific research is not complete until its results are published. Therefore, to publish the results of research is a requirement which passes by writings. For Ben Romdhane, "scientific communication is based on the written word. Indeed, even if there are oral communications, the written word (electronic or printed) is always essential in scientific communication since it serves as evidence and it is through it that the original research work is approved". Similarly, Line Maurice reinforces the arguments for the need to publish scientific studies: "conferences can provide an opportunity for new research to be conducted or for recent research to be discussed, but work that is not published cannot acquire the status of a reference".
With this in mind, the Tanganyika Journal of Science has been made available to researchers to enable them to communicate their work to their peers and the general public. Facilitated by the advantages of information and communication technologies, scientific research articles are open access, according to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) = www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org
To this end, the editorial board of the journal warmly welcomes you.
